The new GLC

Today Mercedes has presented the first details of the new SUV GLC. The GLC is the successor of the GLK. The delivery starts in the mid of September 2015. The new model loses about 80 kg of weight so the fuel efficiency could be increased by up to 19 %. The length has increase by 12cm to 4.66m.
The interior is heavily influenced by the all new C-Class. It is really luxury and spacy. The trunk volume increased to 550 liters.

You can order an optional off-road package and an all-new air-suspension AIR Body Control.

The GLC is available with the latest active safety systems like Distronic Plus with multi-purpose stereo camera with stop&go pilot.

In the beginning the engine lineup includes two diesel and one gasoline engine:

GLC 220 d 4matic with 170 hp and 400 NM of torque
GLC 250 d 4matic with 204 hp and 500 NM of torque
GLC 250 4matic with 211 hp and 350 NM of torque

These three engines are combined with the 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to that there will be also the all new Plug-In-Hybrid GLC 350e 4matic. It combines the 211 hp combustion engine with a 116 hp electric engine. The system output is 327 hp and 560 NM. The electric range should be 34 km.

In the beginning of 2016 AMG will offer the GLC 63 AMG with the 4.0 liter V8 BiTurbo engine.
