Order start: G-Class modelyear 2016 & G 500 4x4²

Now you can order the 2016 G-Class and the all new G 500 4x4².

The smaller brother of the G 63 AMG 6x6. The G 500 4x4² is also equipped with portal axles for a higher ground clearance (450mm). Those portal axles also helps to increase the fording depth from 600mm to 1,000 mm.

As a standard the G 500 4x4² will be delivered with two wheel sets. One 22 inch set for driving on-road and one 18 inch set for heavy off-road terrain.
The G 500 4x4² is powered by the all-new 4.0 liters V8BiTurbo which is know from the new AMG GT. Here it delivers 422hp and 610 Nm of torque.

The G-Class wagon will get some updates this summer. All the engines hit EU6 emission level.

The power of the G 350 d (Diesel) will increase from 211 to 245 hp and 600 NM of torque. The sprint to 100 kph will be done in 8.9s.

The G 500 will get a complete new engine which is known from the AMG GT or the new AMG C 63. The 4.0 liters BiTurbo V8 engine delivers 422hp and 610 NM. The sprint to 100 kph is done in 5.9s.

Also the AMG models AMG G 63 and AMG G65 will get EU6 and more horsepower. So the AMG G 63 delivers 571hp (+27 PS) and the AMG G 65 V12 BiTurbo gets 630 hp.

The sprint to 100 kph is done in 5.4s (AMG G63) and 5.3s (AMG G65).

All engines (excluding the V12 BiTurbo) now have an eco-stop-start system as standard.

Mercedes also has done a rework of the suspension and ESP system. Now the G-Class delivers more on-road driving pleasure.

The G 350d and G 500 are getting a front bumper and new wheels.
