Mercedes-Benz has presented the all new C-Class
Order start was at the 30th March 2021. Deliveries are starting now.
All engines of the new C-Class are electrified. So the 4-cylinder gasoline (M254) an diesel (OM654M) engines have an integrated startergenerator between the interenal combustion engine and the 9G-Tronic automatic transmission.
The all new 2nd generation ISG delivers up to 20 hp and 200 NM of torque.
The engine line up will be:
C 180 with 170 + 20 hp
C 200 with 204 +20 hp
C 300 with 258 + 20 hp and a 30s overboost function with additional 27 hp.
C 200 d with 163 + 20 hp (from September 2021)
C 220d with 200 + 20 hp
C 300d with 265 +20 hp.
The C 200, C 220d, C 300 and C 300d will also be available with 4matic all-wheel-drive system (fall 2021).
The new C-Class W206 is equipped with a lot of features from the new S-Class W223.
The new digital light with 1.3 Million pixel in each headlight is great and makes driving at night even safer.
Also the interior is inspired by the new S-Class. There are two big screens. The center screen with 11.9 inch (option, standard 8 inch) uses the latest MBUX version.
The wheel base is about 2.5 cm longer so the rear passengers have more legroom.
In 2022 there also will be a 4-cylinder entry-performance model C 43 AMG 4matic with 390 hp.
In addition to that the C-Class gets a new version of the C 300e Plug-in-Hybrid with an electric range of 100 km WLTP. The Plug-in-Hybrid is equipped with a M254 gasoline engine and an electric motor with 129 hp. The system output is about 306 hp.
The C 63 AMG will be available in spring 2022. The 2.0 liters 4-cylinder engine M139 will deliver 450 hp. It is combined with the AMG E Performance P3-Plug-in-Hybrid. Then the rear-axle is equipped with an additional 204 hp electric motor for a great driving pleasure.
