The production of the new model year 2023-1 starts in July.

There are several new engines. The OM656 diesel will be replaced by the OM656M inline 6-cylinder diesel with mild-hybrid support. In addition to that the engines also get more power.

The S 350d delivers 313 hp + 23 hp and 650 NM of torque (48 volt mild-hybrid integrated starter generator located between the 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and the engine).

The S 400d 4matic will be replaced by the S 450d 4matic. It delivers 367 hp + 23 hp. The torque increases from 700 to 750 NM.

 

The 6-cylinder gasoline M256 will also get an increased power output.

Both versions get 14 hp more power.

The S 450 4matic now delivers 381 hp + 22 hp (ISG 48 volt mild-hybrid) and the

S 500 4matic delivers 449 hp + 22 hp.

Now you also can order the S 63 AMG with the E Performance drivetrain.

The 612 hp V8 BiTurbo is combined with a 190 hp electric motor at the rear-axle.

The system output is about 802 hp with 1.430 NM of torque. The sprint from 0 to 100 kph is done in 3.3s. Topspeed is limited to 290 kph.

The battery has 13,1 kWh capacity. The electric range is about 33 kilometers.
