Maybach is a sub-brand of the Mercedes-Benz AG. Now they have presented their second model beside the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. The second model is based on the GLS SUV.

The order start of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4matic will be in spring 2020. The delivery of the first luxury SUV will begin in the second half of 2020.

The Maybach GLS 600 4matic is equipped with the 4.0 liters V8 BiTurbo with 558 hp and 700 NM of torque. Between the engine and the 9-speed-automatic transmission there is a 48 volt integrated starter generator. It delivers additional 22 hp and 250 NM of torque. The sprint to 100 kph is done in 4.9s. Topspeed is limited to 250 kph.

The Maybach GLS is not available with the 3rd seat row. You have the option between a second seat row with 3 seats or two luxury seats which you may know from the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.

The Maybach GLS used the MBUX Entertainment system. The fond also has two MBUX tablets.

The trunk volume is 520 liters.

You can choose rims up to 23 inch. The Maybach GLS has the Airmatic air suspension as standard. In addition to that you can get the optional E-Active Body Control.

In respect to CO2 emissions there won’t be a Maybach GLS with a V12 engine.
